Pemberton to Walpole
Stayed in a lovely park at the back of town. Very bushy and
nice walks through the forest. Went for a drive around a forest loop and saw
The Bicentennial Tree which Paul and Nev climbed to the top of. Then we went
back to Pemberton for the 10.45am Pemberton Tram Ride through the forest and
over some old wooden bridges high above the rivers and brooks. Interesting
commentary about the logging history and the plants of the forest.
Pemberton Tram Trip |
This took us
to 12.30pm and Nev and I headed to Northcliffe for lunch. We passed a logging
truck loading logs only two can fit on each jinker.
They are massive.Their
slogan is ”Where the hell is Northcliffe”. It is a tiny little place with a
lovely craft shop with wooden furniture. Met the others and continued to
Walpole via the Bi centennial tree for two nights.
