DAY 39

6th September
Denham to Kalbarri

Left really early and stopped at Eagle Bluff- it was very cold, short boardwalk good view over largest sea grass area in the world and lots of dugongs. Eagle Island just off the coast absolutely covered in birds.

Continued on to Billabong Roadhouse fro morning tea. Interesting place there was a wall of photos of peoples tattoos!! Wildflowers are increasing there are masses of cream, mauve and yellow along side of the road. Starting to see wheat, sheep and canola fields now we are getting closer to civilisation. arrived at Kalbarri National Park and had a look at Ross Graham Lookout.

Then headed into Kalbarri to check in for the next 2 nights. Had Lunch and went out to explore the town. Ended up at a Parrot Breeding Place. Very interesting a lot of different parrots from around the world well displayed.


Checked out a couple of beaches and lookouts around town.
