Day 41 8th September Kalbarri to Geraldton

DAY 41

8th September
Kalbarri to Geraldton

We headed off to look at some features on the way south. First was Red Bluff very cold and windy, we walked out the board walk then we pulled in to Mushroom Rock and next the Natural Bridge which was the best of all.
We continued on and came across a"Pink Lake" amazing the water was actually pink. They get Beta Carotine fron the water something to do with bacteria. Had morning tea at Port Gregory and then found some convict ruins near the roadside.

We arrived at Geraldton early so went straight to have a look around before setting up camp. We saw the lighthouse, it was very distinct and the memorial to the HMAS Sydney which was very well done. Stainless steel sea gulls represented each sailor that lost his life.

Beautiful sunset from the beach right near the caravan park.
