DAY 44 11th September Cervantes to Perth

DAY 44

11th September
Cervantes to Perth

Woke up to rain today. The first time in our whole time away. We packed up and had brekky in the car. Off we set for the “big smoke” of Perth. We all felt like bushies coming to town! It rained quite heavily for the morning we pulled in to Two Rocks to look at some carvings and had morning tea near the beach.

It fined up and we continued on to Perth WOW! Traffic lights stop signs and lots of cars!! We booked in and set up nice lake in the camp ground and lots of mother ducks and ducklings wandering around the camp.

We set off to the beach and then 4 of us decided to go out to the Swan Valley and follow a food and wine trail around the historic towns. We called in to a chocolate factory for tasting then a winery followed by an ice cream shop and a brewery and a nougat factory. We also found an historic church where some of Rhonda’s ancestors were buried and there were plaques for them inside the church. Early to bed for a big day tomorrow.
