DAY 33
31st August
Yardie Creek
Really hot today. Headed off towardCape Range National Park where we had a cruise booked. Looked at a few things on the way. There is an excellent visitors centre with information about the Ningaloo Reef and whale sharks etc. The reef is just off the shore and the water is aqua blue and crystal clear.
Passed some white centred Sturt's Desert Pea which only grow in this park.
The cruise was 11am and it was very informative and beautiful scenery again. Saw some very rare black footedrock wallabies. I don't know how they can jump down the cliffs to the ledges.
A picture of a rare black footed wallaby hiding on the rock ledge.
After the cruise we went to The Oyster Stacks for a snorkel. AMAZING millions of fish and beautiful coral. Best snorkelling I have ever done right off the shore, you step right on to the reef. Would love to have an underwater camera.
Off to Turquoise Bay fro lunch and another snorkel. Heaps of fish not so much coral this time. Checked out a couple more beaches before heading home to van park.
Can you see the bay star fish which we rescued a few times he was a bit sick I think.
