Alice Springs
A quiet day. Washing and shopping etc. The boys went to the Road Transport Hall of Fame and the girls went shopping. Nev said the museum was very interesting with Lasseter's original vehicle on show and lots of old Kenworth trucks and all sorts of cars and trucks. We went to town and checked out the patchwork shops and bought somelovely aboriginal original central Australian designs fabrics. We all had a good morning and met back for lunch at van park.

| Emu made from all truck gear box part- looks great! After lunch Pete, Robyn and us headed off to the Desert Park for the afternoon. Very interesting, different desert habitats with the varying vegetation in them and the animal and bird life tha tbelonged to each area. We listened to a talk about the Dream time and the aboriginal clan system,s their beliefs and then watched a bird show where the birds flew in from the bush for thior demonsrartion. It was great.
