Troopy is finished!

"The Beast"

About our vehicle.

We bought a 2008 Landcruiser troop carrier in May 2012 after searching the country for 18 months.
*It had a Trakka conversion already done to it in 2011.
*Nev has re done all the electrics and fitted extra batteries, fuses, inverter and smart battery chargers so together with the solar panel on the roof we can run the fridge and lighst for days without running the car.
*The freshwater system was stripped out and re done. We now have filtered water inside the car and two water outlets one on each side of the vehicle. Hot showers are now no problem with the water heater fitted under the bonnet.
*We have changed the seats to comfy bucket seats with adjustable lumbar supports.
*The radio has been rewired and a new aerial installed.
*Cupboards have been modified and drawers and a table added to maximise all storage areas. Previously inaccessible areas have been opened up to allow for more storage.
*A compressor has been fitted into a back compartment for easy access.
*The split rims were replaced with 16x8 steel rims with 33" all terrain tyres.
*Springs, shocks and airbags replaced the sagged factory suspension. .

"Home away from home"
*Rear bar fitted to accommodate spare wheel and two jerry cans. It now has a rear bag on the spare for extra storage.
*A rear tarp awning has been custom made and can be attached to the car or left free standing.
*Door linings on rear barn doors were replaced with stainless steel and fold down table fitted.
*Door consoles fitted to both front doors.

Storage everywhere!
